E-mailed Electronic File Specifications

Platform: Mac

Acceptable Programs:

Illustrator (version CS2 or below)
Freehand (version 9 or below)
Quark Express (version 6 or below)
Photoshop (version 7 or below)
CorelDraw converted to a “.ai” file

The following are not acceptable file formats:
PDF, GIF, JPEG, BMP, PICT, DOC

Artwork: All art should be “vector” unless an actual photograph.

Required Elements to produce your job:

1. Page layout file
2. Live EPS/TIFF files
3. All elements used in the creation of the file (original application files of any artwork, scans, EPS files).
4. Fonts used in the job or all fonts changed to outlines
5. A set of hard copy proofs to ensure the integrity of the final film.

Specifications for Printing:

1. Scans (EPS & TIFF files) minimum resolution: 200 dpi. at 100%.
2. Text & Fonts: Fonts must be provided with each order or changed to outlines. To avoid potential registration problems, type should never be produced using more than one color. Text should never be reversed out of more than one color (the effect can be achieved by spreading all colors but 1 from around the text).
3. Minimum positive type: 10 pt
4. Minimum reverse type: 12 pt
